Dan Hardy has been working hard to come up with a good gameplan against GSP and so far the best thing he came up with is to mimic Matt Serra…. what a moron. Here is a statement from a recent interview with Hardy.

I don’t want it to become too much of an issue — defending the takedown — because I won’t throw like I do against anybody else,” Hardy said. “I don’t want to be holding back on any of my kicks and punches because, at the end of the day, that’s what is going to win me the fight. My intention is to go in there, throw hard, just like Matt Serra did, but obviously a little more technical — I’m a little quicker and more technical. I’ve got reach and weight on Matt Serra, so I can do exactly what he did but a lot better

So if everything goes according to plan Dan Hardy will either win by some random fluke or he will get completely wrecked. The point is that using Matt Serra’s non existent gameplan for your fight with motherfuckin George St. Pierre isn’t going to work. A person that can beat St. Pierre is someone with incredibly good striking that can put him on his back, which is pretty much just a better version of GSP, and that is clearly not Dan Hardy. I am overall very disappointed that this fight is even happening. This is a great time to have St. Pierre fight Anderson Silva in a super fight while their two divisions sort themselves out.
