Junior Dos Santos keeps getting better competition in the octagon. His next opponent might be Gabriel Gonzaga, the contracts are still being finalized. Overall, tonight’s event was entertaining. There were a few really good wars, and all of the fights maintained a good level of skill. WEC is starting to increase the size of their venues and it is really starting to shape up to be one of the better venues in MMA.

WEC 43 is coming up tomorrow and I am having a lot of trouble getting hyped for these fights. The problem isn’t really with the quality of the fight card but the fact that it’s WEC on Versus. Lately the amount of commercials for the WEC events have been driving me crazy, it really kills the entire experience for me. It’s pretty sad when you sit there and watch Versus for an hour only to think “Holy fuck I’m pretty sure we have only seen one fight so far.”

This card has some good up and coming talent on it and the fights should be pretty exciting. I have a feeling that we will end up seeing a good amount of ground work through out the card. I will be doing predictions for the main card only and won’t be getting too in depth.    …Continue Reading

Fuck Ya! Mark Coleman got injured in training and is forced out of his fight with Tito Ortiz at UFC 106. The man to take his place is going to be recently destructed Forrest Griffin. Overall the Dream 11 event was great. It reminded me the old PRIDE days where an MMA event isn’t just a sporting event, but a visual spectacle. The vast majority of the fights were very entertaining, and there were some real wars in the Featherweight GP.
