My picks for this event were pretty horrible and at the end of the night WEC 47 answered a lot of questions. First of all Jens Pulver is done for. He should have never come back and we all knew what would happen if he did. Pulver lost 7 of his last 8 fights and that’s a terrible way to finish off a career. The rumor of James Toney coming to the UFC has been lingering around for some time now. Finally it seems that the crew over at FiveOuncesofPain has been able to get some insider information that in fact James Toney is signing a multi-fight contract with the UFC. All I can say is wow…. I really can’t believe James Toney is going to be in a MMA fight. He is gonna get dominated. Toney used to be an amazing boxer but now his is 41, fat and slow. There have been rumors going around that Overeem is coming back to the states and is going to be fighting Brett Roger in a non title fight. Above is Overeem’s most recent fight at Dynamite 2009. He is an interesting heavyweight to have in the states but his steroid use has been keeping him off shore.
