In the newest episode of The Simpsons, Springfield is hit with the MMA craze. The Ultimate Punch Kick and Choke Championship, UPKCC, opens up and all the men in town are addicted to its violent and bloodthirsty action. Baseball fields are left barren, the police station is empty, and even the local bar Moe’s is closed.

Of course, in true Simpson’s fashion, Marge then proceeds to ruin everyone’s fun.

Opposed to the violence that the sport portrays to her children and to the men of Springfield, Marge goes on a rampage and protests the sport. Somehow, this leads her to accept a challenge from the UPKCC’s owner.

The rest of the episode is pretty predictable. She trains with various people, eventually fights the guy, armbars him, then knocks his ass out. The episode all in all was not very funny–I think this seasons writers need to get a grip on writing for The Simpsons. The MMA references were sub-par, and I didn’t find myself laughing much at all. Also, there is no moral of the story. In the end Marge KO’s the asshole, wins the day, gets in shape, meets new people and is immersed in a new culture she has never been in before. In other words, it’s an anti-MMA episode that bases its anti-MMA message on the most mind-numbingly retarded stereotypes I have ever seen, while at the same time unknowingly promoting the sport. “I like MMA, I punch you in face, I make you bleed,  DUUUUURRR”

The funniest part was when a dude heelhooks himself.

I give this episode 1/5 Crazeds; I’d rather eat shit than to watch this again.
