I got pretty excited for UFC 109 and I have to say coming out of it I was fairly disappointed. Marquardt was terrible, he gased out and couldn’t do shit off his back (except land elbows that still cut Sonnen lawl). A fighter should never train or fight with the mentality that he will never be on his back. I thought Marquardt knew this but he had no plan once his back hit the ground, what a let down. Now Sonnen’s retarded ego is going to sky rocket.

Watching Couture vs Coleman was just sad, Couture did very well of course but Coleman is old and worn out. It was difficult to see him step into the octagon and try to put on any sort of show. He should be forced to retire and that looks like what Dana is going to do. Do not expect to see a Coleman Ortiz grudge match, that would be absolutely retarded anyway.

The most pathetic thing that entire night was Rolles Gracie. I had absolutely no expectations of him for that fight and I really didn’t give a shit about it but holy shit he is fucking terrible. That was one of the most pathetic displays I have ever seen. He got tired in literally 30 seconds and his stand up is atrocious.

Matt Serra and Paulo Thiago didn’t disappoint and had nice finishes. Not sure where Serra goes from here but Thiago has a bunch of opportunities.
