UFC 105 is right around the corner and it’s time for some predictions. Overall this card has a bunch of average fighters (main event excluded) and the only real exciting part about this event is watching Randy Couture fight again. This is a card tailor made for Spike TV.

Randy Couture vs Brandon Vera

Couture is a fucking machine, this dude is never going to stop. Randy has been saying that for this fight he is going back to the basics, which means that he is going to grapple the shit out of Vera. Couture won’t stand much of a chance on the feet against Vera anyway so going to the clinch and the ground is a good idea for him. This fight is going to come down to how well Vera can defend the takedown and how much damage he can do in the clinch with knees and elbows.  I think Couture will be able to takedown and hold Vera for three rounds.

Verdict: Randy Couture via Unanimous Decision

Mike Swick vs Dan Hardy

This one should be entertaining. Both guys feel that they need to prove themselves in this fight. Not like it really matters, either guy will get absolutely dominated by GSP. Swick has good hands and his ground should be up to par since he wrestles with Koscheck all the time. Hardy is full of himself and has never really done anything significant.

Verdict: Mike Swick via TKO – 2nd Round

Michael Bisping vs Denis Kang

I have a feeling this is going to be a close fight. I haven’t been all that impressed with Kang in the UFC, this motherfucker has some overrated jiu jitsu, it seems like he gets subbed by everyone. I hate Bisping and that makes it very hard to pick him in any fight. I’m hoping that Kang’s stand-up will be able to win this one for him and if he somehow gets subbed then he is absolutely pathetic.

Verdict: Denis Kang via Unanimous Decision

James Wilks vs Matt Brown

Wilks apparently got some jits with four of his six wins coming by way of submission. Matt Brown on the other hand lost five fights by submission and that’s out of seven. Brown has been steadily improving since his unimpressive performance on TUF but I still think he kinda sucks. I’m going to go with Wilks on this one because he impressed me in his fight against Demarques Jones in which I thought Jones was the favorite.

Verdict: James Wilks via Submission – 2nd Round

Ross Pearson vs Aaron Riley

I haven’t watched too many fights with Pearson and he hasn’t fought anyone significant. Riley clearly has the advantage in experience here and I also think he has the advantage in striking. The issue with Riley is that he has never been able to beat top level competition, luckily for him Pearson isn’t very good.

Verdict: Aaron Riley via Unanimous Decision

I had pretty much the same predictions before checking out this post. Regardless, I really just want to see Dan Hardy and Bisbing get knocked the fuck out because they are so goddamn cocky. Just hoping both those mother fuckers get HENDO'D.
