UFC 107 Thoughts, Results, Bonuses and Fight Videos!

UFC 107 is over and everything went pretty much according to plan.
BJ Penn showed his true dominance over the lightweight division with an effortless raping of Sanchez. Diego has been building up his confidence for months and it was all destroyed in the very first engagement when Penn dropped him and nearly finished the fight, after that Diego was a broken man. Penn continued to pick Sanchez apart until he finished the fight in the fifth round with a head kick that opened up a giant cut on Diego’s forehead.

Look at these fucking FightMetric stats…. and this pic doesn’t even show the ZERO out of 27 takedown attempts Sanchez got.

Penn is a fucking force and no one is going to be able to touch him in the lightweight division for a long ass time.
The Mir-Kongo fight went even better for Mir then he originally thought. Instead of having to takedown Kongo Mir just knocked his ass down with a beast left hook. Once on the ground Kongo was dazed and disoriented, partly from being punched in the face and partly because he is always dazed and disoriented on the ground. Mir is on his way to another title shot.
Poor Clay Guida he tries so hard but he can’t beat the top competition. The problem with Guida is that he always does the same shit. He gets super pumped and comes out swinging like crazy in the first round but once he starts losing the exchanges he backs off and attempts takedowns, if those fail he is done. Kenny Florian did well and dispatched Guida efficiently. Next step for Kenny has to be Diego Sanchez.
Jon Fitch was very unimpressive against Mike Pierce. I feel that Dana White doesn’t really like him very much ever since all that video game bullshit so he should try twice as hard to finish fights. It just seemed that he was under prepared for this fight and overlooked Pierce.
Wow Struve vs Buentello was sloppy shit. Struve really needs to work on everything… Sometimes I just don’t understand what he is doing. He starts hoping around all over the place and throwing amazingly slow head kicks. He also couldn’t finish that RNC when he had Buentello’s back forever. Back to the drawing board for Struve, he needs to be better prepared next time. Here is the highlight of the fight for me, I enjoy the angle.
