UFC 110 Predictions and Weigh-In Photos!

UFC 110 is here and the bouts are all really exciting, especially for those of us that are nostalgia freaks and love to see old Pride Champions whoop some ass. Let’s go over some predictions…
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Cain Velasquez

Velasquez is a pretty impressive up and comer. Though his style is boring, with a wrestling base, he has decent standup and has been able to take his opponents down with ease. Nog, however is no regular heavyweight. He is crème of the crop, and has a versatile submission game, and a standup game that I think we will see improve in this fight.
If Velasquez’s goal is to take Big Nog down, there is a very likely chance he will get submitted. The only person to successfully ground and pound Nog is of course, Fedor, and sorry Cain, but you’re no Last Emperor.
RESULT: Nogueria, 2nd Round KO
Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping

I really like Wanderlei but there have, and I think always will be clear holes in his game. Bisping matches up pretty well against him, as he usually throws long, straight punches and tries to make the distance.
If I was Bisping, I would seriously consider testing Silva’s ground skills and going for boring, but effective ground and pound in his guard. I really can’t see Bisping finishing Silva, the best he can do is take it to the scorecards. Silva, however, always has that surprise factor you can’t rule out, and Bisping’s chin was seriously tested against Hendo.
On another note, it looks like they have a body double for Wandy, as his face looks completely different. Kind of creepy if you ask me.
If headkicks and knees on the ground were involved the fight would be no contest.
RESULT: Silva, 3rd Round KO
Joe Stevenson vs. George Sotiropoulos

Stevenson has kind of become the gatekeeper to this lightweight division and it’s kind of sad for him, but a position he is at rightfully so, losing to the high echelon fighters in the UFC. Sotirpoulos, other than having an annoying name is actually a pretty decent submission artist that’s might be capable of subbing Stevenson if the fight ends up in his guard. I’m going with the long shot here and saying Sotiropoulos wins.
RESULT: Sotiropoulos, 2nd round Submission
Keith Jardine vs. Ryan Bader

Jardine has always been really terrible but Bader is terrible in a different sense that is being too new to take on veterans. Chances are Jardine has a pretty good gameplan set out, and if he can avoid getting laid on by the up and comer will probably be able to take this fight.
Expect to see the same goofy Jardine stand up style we have always seen out of him, and expect Bader to go for the takedown several times.
RESULT: Jardine, 2nd round TKO
Mirko Filipovic vs. Anthony Perosh

Cro Cop has really been lacking it over the last couple of months and I can’t really see anything changing that drastically. Apparently he has changed up his training camp and is now more devout on training MMA, but we have heard this before from the Croation Pride champion. I really hope he did hit the gym hard for this fight. This fight was originally supposed to be against Ben Rothwell, but I guess he got sick from eating too many Doritos or something and pulled out of the fight. That would have been an even matchup, I don’t even know who this Perosh dude is.
Let’s hope that old desire comes back to our champion, as all his fans keep rooting him on, failure after failure.
RESULT: Cro Cop, 2nd round KO
Noguiera is Training Hard for UFC 110
UFC 110: Nogueira vs. Velasquez
The Random Roundup – Lesnar’s dieing, Big Nog has staph, everything is fucked.

Here are my picks
Big Nog via Decision
I think Velasquez is a little too green to fight Nog at this point. As long as Nog can stay composed on his feet he should have an advantage in all aspects of the fight.
--------------------------------
Silva via 2nd TKO
I hate Bisping but he has a pretty good chance of winning this fight. Silva is looking fit coming into this fight and I can never pick against him.
--------------------------------
Sotiropoulos via 2nd Submission
I'm sick of Joe Daddy i want Sotiropoulos to dominate him.
--------------------------------
Bader via Boring Decision
I think Bader is going to go wrestling mode and keep Jardine on his back the entire fight for a boring decision.
--------------------------------
CROCOP VIA HEADKICK!!!
Rothwell dropping out worked well for Crocop now he has a better chance of getting a headkick ko.
